- Sign up: Create a deCODEme account and purchase a Genetic Scan for $985.
- Collect your sample: deCODE Genetics send the Sample Collection kit to your doorstep, you follow a simple procedure to collect a DNA sample from the inside of your cheek. You send the sample back using our enclosed envelope.
- DNA analysis: We extract your DNA, measuring over a million variations. When your data is ready you receive an e-mail notification.
- Your results: Log on to study information about your genome, ancestry, and genetic risk using state-of-the-art tools provided on the deCODEme web site.
- Your updates: We notify you when new scientific discoveries are made and show you how they relate to your genetic profile.
family registration
- Register your family and friends and get a discount: Select Family Registration under the Signup menu and set up user accounts for each family member with an email and a password you provide.
- Collect your family samples: deCODE Genetics send the Sample Collection kits to your doorstep. Following a simple procedure, each family member collects DNA from the inside of their cheek. Each member sends their sample back using our enclosed envelope.
